Starting at under $20,000, the innovative design gives first time GPS survey users the ability to take full advantage of a complete system that costs less than a typical conventional total station. Now surveyors who have held back on going into GPS because of the investment can become competitive now and in the future. The included GPSurvey software for baseline reduction, loop closure and least square adjustment is considered the premier GPS survey software. It is the same software used on the most expensive Trimble survey systems. Once learned, the surveyor can carry at least 50% of the GPS learning curve into more expensive receivers at a later date.

Trimble’s 4600LS is the world’s first survey-grade GPS unit powered by standard C-size batteries. The receiver, antenna, and batteries are all packaged in a 3.7 lbs unit with one button operation.

The 4600LS incorporates Trimble’s leading GPS technology to utilize full cycle, L1 carrier phase, C/A-code to provide highest accuracy measurements. The 4600LS is capable of FastStatic and kinematic surveys with centimeter accuracy and short point occupation times.
